IT’S Alcohol Awareness Week – and free help and advice is available in Warrington.

The theme is “understanding alcohol harm” and the aim is to get people talking about the role alcohol plays in society, what it means to families and communities and to help people understand the harm that alcohol can bring.

Drinking alcohol can play a big part in a lot of people’s lives. It is used for celebrating, commiserating and sometimes to help people cope. It is heavily advertised in the media and is easily accessible, yet it is harming people’s health on a daily basis.
Warrington’s support service CGL- Change Grow Live, a free and confidential service for anyone experiencing drug and/or alcohol issues, are hosting several stalls during the week. People can pop along to find out more about alcohol awareness and what the service offers, get help and support and self-refer.
