POLICE are warning youngsters to stay away from the derelict Jolly Falstaff pub at Padgate following ongoing issues with anti-social behaviour in the area.

Local officers have been carrying out foot patrols over the weekend of several known hot spots.

In particular, several youths have been spoken to and asked not to hang around the Jolly Falstaff pub.

Officers have received reports of anti-social behaviour, arson and drug use around this area.

Parents who live in this area are being asked to have a chat with their children about safe places to play and chat. This is not one of them.

Plans to demolish the pub were withdrawn last year after developers sought clarification if planning permission was required to redevelop the site.
