A NEW funding initiative has been launched to support voluntary, community and social enterprise groups in Warrington.
First Recruitment Group, in collaboration with Warrington Voluntary Action (WVA), have launched the “Greater Reach Fund,” which offers grants to voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations.
The Greater Reach Fund is designed to allocate community grants to VCSE organisations that play a pivotal role in supporting local residents. With a focus on promoting inclusion and diversity, these grants are offered to help organisations broaden their reach and enhance accessibility to their services.
Beth Thorpe, people and culture partner at First Recruitment Group said: “We have a deep-rooted commitment to the Warrington community, having been established and based in the area for over 25 years. With the launch of the Greater Reach Fund we aim to provide tangible support to organisations that share our values and are truly making a difference in our town.
“In addition to financial grants, which we understand are crucial in today’s challenging climate for charities, we’re also committed to forming lasting partnerships and offering our time through volunteering.”
The Greater Reach Fund offers grants of up to £500 per group and is open to Warrington-based VCSE organisations conducting activities within the area. These grants can be utilised for different purposes including purchasing equipment, hiring guest practitioners, publicity efforts, covering memberships/subscriptions and supporting activities aimed at diversifying user bases. The fund is now live and accepting applications through a simple online application process.
