STUDENTS at Culcheth High School celebrated Pride Month with a wide range of activities including a dedicated “Diversity Week.”

They celebrated and included LGBTQ+ individuals, took part in Pride Assemblies and a variety of Tutor Time and school activities.
There were discussions around celebrities who have shaped today’s community and also held a “wear your rainbow socks to school” day, with many students wearing colourful footwear to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
Also, the the annual Pride Bake Sale was held, with many students contributing to the baking of colourful and delicious cakes, which raised £136 for the school Pride Club’s chosen charity “Peace in Mind”.
There was a “best bake” competition and prizes were awarded to some very talented Key Stage 3 bakers.
The school operates a Pride Club all year round, which is open to all students, and provides a safe space to be part of the LGBTQ+ community.
