Full list of road closures for Warrington Walking Day

THE 188th Warrington Walking Day is set to take place this Friday (June 28th) with a number of road closures in place across the town centre from as early as 7.30 am.

The hot weather of the early part of the week is forecast to subside, with cloud cover making perfect walking conditions – with no rain currently forecast.

Warrington Walking Day was originally founded by a former Rector of Warrington as a counter-attraction to Newton Races which, he believed, were attracting many townsfolk to gambling and drink.
Newton Races died out years ago – but the great Walk of Christian Witness, Warrington Walking Day, continues.

Live coverage of the day can be viewed on Facebook here from 10.30 am.
