WARRINGTON & Vale Royal College has introduced its new Workforce Development Fund, made possible by funding from the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
This initiative aims to support and strengthen local businesses by providing financial support for essential employee training and upskilling.
The Workforce Development Fund is dedicated to covering or significantly contributing to the costs of training for employees of businesses based within the Warrington borough. This fund specifically targets those who require additional training to enhance their skills and professional development. The support extends to tuition costs for training courses offered by Warrington & Vale Royal College that are not already funded by other sources.
Eligible Warrington-based organisations can access up to £6,000 to subsidise employee training expenses. The fund prioritises training in key local sectors including Health & Social Care, Manufacturing & Engineering, Construction, Life Sciences, and Logistics/e-commerce as well as critical cross-sectoral skills including digital, green skills, low carbon, and leadership and management. This focus ensures that various businesses are equipped to meet current and future demands in these vital areas.
