VOLUNTEERS from Helping Hands Changing Lives helped stage a spectacular D-Day 80th anniversary event at St Benedict’s Club in Orford.

From Home Guard to nurses, everyone dressed to impress as guests were treated to war-time songs and music.

A beacon was also lit to mark the special occasion, while Warrington Rotary Club also lit a beacon up at Hillcliffe.
