Three injured and two roads closed following collision

TWO roads were closed and three people injured following a collision at Penketh, Warrington, earlier today, Monday.

Firefighters freed two people trapped in a vehicle and handed them over to care of paramedics at the scene. Police closed the roads while the incident was dealt with.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police confirmed: “At 8.37am on Monday 3 June Police were called to reports of a collision on Greystone Road at the junction with Honiton Way.
“Officers attended the scene and found there had been a collision between a black Vauxhall Grandland and a beige Fiat 500.
“Three people were injured as a result of the collision, they have all been passed to the care of NWAS.
“Both roads were closed at this time while recovery work was undertaken.”
The roads have since re-opened.
