Up two five weeks of evening road closures on Knutsford Road

UP to five weeks of evening road closures have been confirmed for Knutsford Road, Latchford, for carriageway resurfacing works.

The road closures will be in force from 7 pm to 1 am to minimise the impact on the area.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which is as follows: –
Prohibition of Driving & Clearway: A5061 Knutsford Road from its junction with Park Avenue to its junction with Grammar School Road; Halla Way for its entire length; Brook Place from its junction with A56 Stockport Road for 50 metres; Wash Lane from its junction with A56 Stockport Road for 50 metres.
Temporary Suspension of The Borough of Warrington (Various Roads) (Consolidation of One-Way Traffic) Order 1976 in so far as it relates to Article 3, Schedule 4 and the One Way on Grammar School Road.
The Order will be effective from 3rd June 2024 for 5 weeks, between 7 pm and 1 am, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Bridgefoot, Mersey Street, Church Street, Farrell Street, Kingsway North, Kingsway South or via Thelwall Lane, Kingsway South, Kingsway North, Farrell Street, Church Street and Mersey Street. The restrictions are required for carriageway surfacing.
