UNIVERSITY of Chester staff and students are hosting a range of exciting, free activities to celebrate Warrington Pride 2024.

From the chance to get creative to the opportunity to listen to poetry and talks, the event will take place at University Centre Warrington, Time Square, on Saturday June 8, as part of Pride Month.
The day includes a visit by the Rainbow Fire Engine of the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, and sessions to make a banner or badge for the parade, or join in with other arts and crafts.
Speakers will also be welcomed including a Warrington-based poet and writer, the lead trustee of Liverpool Pride, and one of the University’s postgraduate students.
In addition, visitors can take a tour of University Centre Warrington’s Time Square building and visit stalls to chat to staff.

The event runs from 10am to 2pm and is free to attend. For more information and to book a free place, please visit the event website
Professor Hannah Bacon, lead organiser, said: “We’re delighted to play a key role in Warrington Pride 2024 as it returns to the town centre this June, with a renewed focus on diversity and community inclusion.”
