Police seek help form public following reports of armed man threatening woman

POLICE are seeking help from the public following reports of a man armed with a knife and hammer threatening a woman at Bewsey on Saturday evening.

It follows an incident on Southworth Avenue, Bewsey, at around 8.25pm on Saturday.

Armed officers attended the scene after a caller reported that a man had threatened a woman with a knife and a hammer.

Police attended the scene and searched the area but could not locate the suspect.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information, which may aid officers in their investigation is asked to contact Cheshire Police via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, or call 101, quoting IML-1826849.”
