A police dog helped track down an armed suspect in Warrington and then went on to find a missing person.

PD Lex assisted the Warrington Local Policing Unit on Thursday evening by locating and detaining the male wanted for various offences with a weapon.

The male surrendered when confronted with Lex who later went and found the hidden weapon nearby.

It was a busy evening for PD Lex who was flying last night! Along with his handler he later attended Widnes to help find a high-risk missing person. Lex tracked the missing person to a nearby disused caravan where the person was found inside safe and well.
