POLICE are appealing for help from the public in tracing a missing teenager who was last seen in Warrington.

Evelyn Anderson was last seen at around 4.06pm on Saturday 11 May in the Warrington Road area of Warrington.

The 16-year-old is described as white, around 5’ 4” tall, and has short hair with red tints and is also believed to be in possession of a long dark-haired wig which she may wear.

She was last seen wearing grey jogging bottoms, a black hoody and white trainers.

Evelyn currently resides in Warrington, but since her disappearance officers believe she has visited the Ashton-Under-Lyne area of Greater Manchester.

She is also believed to have links to Merseyside and North Wales.

Detective Chief Inspector Kersten Southcott, of the force’s Protecting Vulnerable People Unit, said:

“Officers have been looking for Evelyn for a number of days now, so we are growing considerably concerned for her welfare and safety.

“Evelyn has links to Warrington but is also known to frequent areas outside of Cheshire, namely North Wales, Merseyside and Greater Manchester, so I would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen her, or has any information on where she may be, to get in touch.

“The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage of her since she disappeared as this may help us find her.

“I would also appeal directly to Evelyn to contact us to let us know that you are safe and well.”

Anyone with any information in relation to Evelyn’s whereabouts is asked to contact Cheshire Police at https://www.cheshire.police.uk/police-forces/cheshire-constabulary/areas/cheshire/about-us/about-us/provide-more-information-about-an-appeal/ or call 101, quoting IML-1821002.
