Pedestrian suffered serious injuries as road closed following collision

A pedestrian suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries following a collision on Friday evening which resulted in a road closure on Battersby Lane.

The incident took place on Battersby Lane shortly before 10 pm and resulted in a road closure for just over two hours while emergency services including police and ambulance attended at the scene.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 21:49hrs on Friday 23rd February a single vehicle road traffic collision was reported on Battersby Lane, Warrington.
“A car was in collision with an adult pedestrian. The pedestrian sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries. He was conveyed to Warrington Hospital for treatment.

“The road was closed until 2358hrs whilst investigations were completed at the scene.”
