Rylands looking for first win of 2024

WARRINGTON Rylands are back on home soil on Saturday as they host Whitby Town in a NPL Premier Division fixture, kick off 3pm.

Not having won in their four outings since beating league leaders Radcliffe in December, Rylands will be looking to get back to winning ways against a side who have taken more points from their away games in the diviison than any other team.
Whitby who have won once and lost once on their previous visits to the Hive Arena have24 points from their 13 away games having won 7 times, drawn 3 times and lost 3 games including last Saturday when an own goal by Jamie Bramwell condemed them to a 1-0 defeat at Worksop Town.
The defeat at Worksop was Whitby’s first in their last seven games as they head the NPL Premier Division’s current form table with 4 wins and a draw in their last six games, a run which has seen them move up to the league table to 6th.

During the same 6 game spell Rylands have won 2, drew 3 and lost I placing them 10th in the current form table.

Earlier this season Rylands ventured over to Whitby on a sweltering hot September day and came home with three points gained in one of their best performances of the season.
Rylands opened the scoring in the second minute through Mo Touray with Coleby Shepherd equalising in the 54th minute. Rylands regained the advantage in the 75th minute when Touray netted his second and the game was made safe in stoppage time by James Baillie.
Taking 24 points from their 11 away games with 7 wins 3 draws and 3 defeats, Whitby Town have the best away record in the division while Warrington Rylands with a Hive Arena pints tally of 23 from 7 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats from their 11 home games have the 8th best home record.
