LIVEWIRE has triumphed at the recent Swim England National Awards, where the team was honoured with the Health Impact Award for 2023.

The award is testament to its unwavering commitment to enhancing the overall health and wellbeing of the Warrington community.
This recognition comes because of LiveWire’s continuous efforts to support individuals with long-term medical issues through its Water Wellbeing programme.
In January 2023, both the Bewsey and Dallam Community Hub and Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub were awarded the Water Wellbeing accreditation by Swim England.
This accreditation acknowledges their exceptional dedication to providing a secure and encouraging environment for individuals with ongoing medical concerns to engage in physical activity.

The hydrotherapy pool at Bewsey and Dallam Community Hub, a unique facility in Warrington, has played a pivotal role in helping people manage their health concerns while focusing on overall fitness. Its warmer water temperatures provide a comfortable exercise environment, particularly beneficial for those dealing with conditions such as arthritis, joint pain, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, muscular and skeletal injuries, or recovering from surgeries like joint replacements.
These accolades highlight LiveWire’s dedication to creating a healthier and happier community in Warrington. The Health Impact Award recognises the profound impact of LiveWire’s initiatives on the lives of its residents.
As LiveWire continues its mission to promote health and wellbeing within the community, these achievements serve as a testament to the positive change that can be achieved through collaboration, dedication, and a shared vision for a healthier future.

Mark Chew, Leisure Operations Director at LiveWire, expressed his delight at this significant achievement: “We’re delighted to win the prestigious Health Impact Award at the recent Swim England National Awards.
“It’s testament to the value placed on the health programme located at the wonderful Bewsey and Dallam Community Hub, driven by a team that are passionate about and committed to the wider health and wellbeing benefits for Warrington residents.”

Warrington Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for leisure and community, Cllr Tony Higgins, said: “It’s great news that LiveWire’s work to boost the health and wellbeing of people with medical conditions has been recognised with this national award.
“Our Water Wellbeing programme is making a real difference to people’s lives, providing physical activity sessions in an inclusive, welcoming environment. It’s a fantastic example of the work we are doing, through our community hubs, to improve the health, happiness and wellbeing of all our communities.”
