THOUSANDS of visitors turned out over the weekend for Warrington’s Christmas Weekend Wonderland which took place across the town centre, culminating with a spectacular light show on the front of the iconic town hall.
Even The Grinch would have been hard-pressed not to have been impressed by the wide variety of activities to entertain people of all ages.
Delivered by Warrington BID, Warrington’s Weekend Wonderland was a collaboration with Warrington Borough Council and Culture Warrington.
The weekend of activities brought together Independent Street Markets, events and colourful performances with a festive extravaganza filled with local art, crafts, food, and entertainment.

As well as the spectacular light show other highlights included the bustling Christmas market featuring over 70 stalls, set up along Bridge Street, Marketgate, Buttermarket Street, and the Time Square Quarter. Local artisans and makers offered a diverse array of goods, including freshly baked treats, delicious street food, award-winning pies, artisan gin, handcrafted jewellery and much more.
It was all complimented with the Christmas cabins in Golden Square.
