A 10-year-old village Prince is stepping out to raise money in memory of his “auntie” who sadly died from cancer aged just 41.

Joshua Simpson was crowned Prince of Grappenhall this year at the annual Walking Day event and the St Wilfrid’s Church Retinue is raising money for the charity MacMillan’s Cancer Research.

Josh signed up to do the “Walk 50 miles in November” Challenge in memory of his “Auntie” Sarah-Jane Farrell, who sadly passed away in 2021 and for those who have been through or going through Cancer.

So far Josh has walked 85 miles and raised just over £400 for MacMillan Cancer – His target is to reach £500 by the end of November.

Proud mum Nicky said: “We know times are hard and Christmas is lurking on the horizon but even the smallest amount would make a massive difference, it doesn’t matter, every penny counts. Please, click on the link below 👇

She added: ” Sarah-Jane was my closest and dearest friend. We grew up together as both our fathers were in the forces. Sarah-Jane was more like an Auntie to Josh.
She passed away in December 2021 at the age of 41. She didn’t know she had cancer until it was too late!
