TWENTY-six neighbours in one Great Sankey postcode have lots to smile about today (Oct 19) after their postcode – WA5 2SJ – was announced as a winner with People’s Postcode Lottery.

The win has landed each person playing with the postcode a cash prize of £1,000 for every ticket they hold. A total of £30,000 has been won in the postcode.

Twenty-three of the neighbours have picked up cheques for £1,000 each. Two people have doubled their prize thanks to playing with two tickets, and one triple ticket holder has picked up a cool £3,000.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt congratulated the people playing with the Great Sankey postcode.
She said: “Neighbours winning together is what People’s Postcode Lottery is all about, so it’s incredible to have 26 people sharing this good news together.
“I’m thrilled for them all and hope they treat themselves to something special with their prize.”
Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £1.1 billion for thousands of charities and local good causes.
One charity close to the winners in Great Sankey to have benefitted from the money raised by players is the Warrington-based JUMP Children’s Charity, which supports children with life-limiting health conditions by providing fun memorable experience days for children and their families. Earlier this year it received £15,000 raised by players.
People’s Postcode Lottery costs £12 a month to play and there are guaranteed winners every day. People play with their chosen postcode and are automatically entered into all draws. A minimum of 33% from each ticket goes to charity.
