Police launch appeal after woman grabbed by stranger at Hood Manor

POLICE have launched an investigation and seeking witnesses after a woman was grabbed by an unknown man during the hours of darkness at Hood Manor, Warrington, last Friday.

The incident took place shortly before 10 p.m. on Bevan Close when police received reports of an assault. Officers with dogs attended at the scene and conducted a search of the area but were unable to trace the man.

They are now seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area, with the man last seen heading toward Vose Close.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 9.50 pm on Friday, October 13, police were called to reports of an assault on Bevan Close, Warrington.
“The caller reported that a 47-year-old woman had been approached by an unknown man who grabbed her arms.
“The woman pushed the man away and he walked off in the direction of Vose Close.
“Local officers, supported by the police dogs, attended the scene and conducted a search of the area, but there was no trace of the man.”
