A road closure will come into force on Gorsey Lane next month (November) while Network Rail carries out a railway bridge examination.

The closure is expected to be just for one day on November 9.

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Gorsey Lane from its junction with Gorsey Lane Passageway Gable of 67 to its junction with Steel Street.
The Order will be effective from 9th November 2023 for 1 day, as and when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Norris Street, O’Leary Street, Marsh House Lane, Orford Lane, Lythgoes Lane, Manchester Road and vice versa. The closure is required to allow Network Rail to carry out a bridge examination.
