Police seek witnesses after woman airlifted to hospital following serious collision

POLICE are seeking witnesses after a 44-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision involving a motorcycle near Cockhedge Shopping Centre.

A 22-year-old male has since been arrested on suspicion of driving without due care following the incident at 3:45 p.m. yesterday, Sunday on Brick Street, Warrington.

The collision involved a KTM motorbike and a pedestrian.

Police and emergency services, including the North West Air Ambulance, attended the scene and found that the 44-year-old woman had suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

She was taken to Aintree Hospital by air ambulance where she was still receiving treatment today.
