TEAMSPORT’S Warrington karting track – one of the longest in the country – is set to re-open on October 16 after switching from petrol to electric karts.

The company claim the re-vamp will revolutionise the world of go-karting – not only because it is more environment friendly but also because it unlocks numerous exhilarating possibilities.

A spokesperson said: “This transformation not only addresses environmental concerns but also unlocks a world of exhilarating possibilities for karting enthusiasts.
The transition from petrol to electric is a game-changer in more ways than one.
“Gone are the days of noxious fumes and the lingering smell of petrol.
“Now, visitors can enjoy a clean and eco-friendly racing environment without compromising on speed or excitement.”
One of the standout features of the revamped track is the introduction of a dynamic “Boost Button,” reminiscent of the famed DRS system in Formula 1. Racers will have the thrill of activating this boost for a few precious seconds per lap, providing an adrenaline rush like never before.
The track spans approximately 1000 meters, ensuring that racers have ample room to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level.
A new spectator area has been created, providing the perfect vantage point for friends and family to cheer on their favorite racers. A track-side snack bar ensures that no one goes hungry and for those looking to relax and unwind after an intense session of racing, a new dining space offers a stylish and comfortable environment. In early November, additional activities such as Teamsport Lanes (Duck pin bowling) and arcades will be added.
Dom Gaynor, chief executive of Teamsport, said: “We are excited to usher in a new era of go-karting with our electrifying transformation here at the Warrington track. Our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and providing an unforgettable racing experience has driven this change.”
