Rylands on the Cup trail

WARRINGTON Rylands take a break from league action this weekend as they visit fellow NPL Premier Division side FC United of Manchester in the second qualifying round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Unbeaten in the league since the opening day of the season, Rylands enter the game 3rd in the NPL Table after last Saturday’s impressive 3-1 win at Whitby Town, while FC United are 7th in the table.
FC United, who beat Bradford Park Avenue 2-0 at home last Saturday, have a 100% home record so far this season winning all five games played so far while Rylands have won two and drawn two of their four away games.

Both teams won their first qualifying round ties 1-0 at home, Rylands beating Stockton Town and FC United beating Barnoldswick
Saturday will be Rylands third meeting with FC United with both of last season’s league games ending in draws. 2-2 at Broadhurst Park and 0-0 at Gorsey Lane or if Saturday’s game ends all square it will be replayed at Gorsey Lane on Tuesday 19th September, kick off 7.45pm.
