VIDEO: A Hive of activity is continuing at one of Warrington town centre’s most iconic buildings which is being transformed into a shopping mall and state-of-the-art office premises.

The former Co-op building on Sankey Street, now named The Hive WA1, is gradually taking shape with new businesses already or about to open, while phase one of the first-floor office space is nearly fully let.

The brainchild of local property developer Neil Trainer the latest business to sign up is Mamars at The Old Bank which is relocating and opening its doors at #TheHiveWA1 on November 6.

Described as “Your one-stop shop for all things delicious, including freshly baked bread and selling artisan cheese, meats, deli items, beers, coffee, and wine” Mamars takes pride in using locally sourced, high-quality ingredients and supporting their Community Partners. The premises will have seating for around 35 people, with a capacity of up to 50 for special events and private/community bookings.

The Hive WA1 is also specialising in creating bespoke retail spaces and exclusive bars in Warrington, stating “No project is too big for us.” The development includes a Secret Bar concept.

Another new business set to open this autumn is Thirst California Juice Bar, offering a range of delicious juices and smoothies that will help you look fantastic and feel fabulous. Bursting with fresh fruit, their juices ensure your daily fruit intake is fast, convenient and tasty!
Others set to open include Krapow Thai and the delights of an Artistic Bakery, Bistro and Deli.

As well as the shopping mall on the ground floor there is the first floor office space. Say goodbye to boring offices and hello to positive workspaces where you can share tools, services, and facilities. Not only will coworking boost your productivity, but it will also improve your health and focus.
