Drink driver arrested after road closed following two vehicle collision

UPDATED: A man has been arrested and charged with drink driving after firefighters were called out to a two-vehicle collision which resulted in Kingsway South, Warrington, being closed on Tuesday evening.

At 9.23pm on 29 August police were called to a collision on Kinsgway South, Warrington.

The collision involved a white Vauxhall Astra and a Blue Ford Fiesta.
There were no reports of any serious injures, but the driver of the fiesta was arrested for Drink Driving and has been charged with the offence.
He is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on 20 September.

One fire crew from Lymm was called out following the collision and the road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Firefighters made the scene safe and handed the incident over to police.
