Boy, 17, charged with murder following death of woman at Chapelford

DETECTIVES investigating the death of a 48-year-old woman at Chapelford earlier this week have charged a 17-year-old boy with murder.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Tuesday 29 August and has since been charged with murder.

The charge relates to an incident which police were called to at around 9.40am on Tuesday 29 August in Phoenix Place, Warrington.
Chintzia McIntyre, 48, had been seriously assaulted and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The 17-year-old boy is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, August 31.
