A father and daughter teamed up to produce a short film highlighting the impact of bullying at school.
Justin Walker and his 11-year-old daughter Islien from Burtonwood, Warrington, produced the short film dealing with the effects of bullying and the impact it has on a person’s mental health and wellbeing.
Islien plays the lead character who endures the torturous experience of being bullied.
Justin said: ” She herself has suffered from bullying over the last two years so the subject matter is very important to us.”
The film was produced on a budget of zero and shot, edited on a smartphone, the epitome of amateur film.
Islien said: “I felt it was important to highlight the issue of bullying in school and I hope via the film people know they are not alone, support is out there.”
Justin added: “Creatively I wanted to make a film based in reality, that addresses the harsh realism of individuals experiencing bullying. What I hope to achieve is further awareness of the issue of bullying and the impact it not only has in the present but the long term effects. I truly hope the film resonates with people and they feel able to talk about this issues openly.
“We are hoping to create further awareness of an issue that effects millions of people,” he added.
Its not the first time the dad and daughter team have produced a short film.

Justin, who works as a mental halth professional has also previously done a short film hihglighting that mental health workers neglect their own health.
