POLICE are urging parents to tell children to stay away from the former Jolly Falstaff pub at Padgate following ongoing issues involving anti-social behaviour.

The pub has been closed for some time and as well as attracting anti-social behaviour had becoming a dumping ground.

But now after a lot of persistence a team has been clearing both the yard and outskirts of the former pub.

Commenting on the issue Poulton North Police said: “This area has been a persistent problem recently for ASB. If you have children that live nearby please ask them to stay away from the site. The area is dangerous with lots of broken glass.”
Refering to the clean up operation they added: “Just shows what we can do when the public and Police work together. Well done all involved.”
