Multi-vehicle collision on M6 adds to traffic chaos

A multi-vehicle collision on the M6 near Junction 21 at Woolston added to traffic chaos in Warrington caused by thousands of music fans arriving for the Creamfields music festival this weekend.

Lanes 1 and 2 were on the M6 southbound within J21 near #Warrington due to the multi-vehicle collision.

Police aand emergency services attended at the scene. There awere delays of around 30 mins and 4 miles of congestion.
All lanes have now re-opened but traffic remains heavy with music fans arriving for the Creamfields Festival at Daresbury.
Local bus services also reported significant delays during the day.
