FIREFIGHTERS alerted police last night after a car was torched near Burtonwood, Warrington.
Shortly before midnight one crew from Warrington was called out to reports of a vehicle blaze on Alder Lane between Winwick and Burtonwood.
The vehicle was well alight. Crews attended and used a hose reel jet to put it out. They dampened down the area and made sure it was safe.
Police were informed as it is believed the fire was started deliberately.
