Investigations ongoing following reports of suspicious activity involving four men wearing balaclavas

POLICE investigations are ongoing following reports of suspicious activity involving four men wearing balaclavas in the Orford area of Warrington during the early hours of this morning, Friday.

It is believed the men, who were reported being seen in an alleyway off Sandy Lane, had been attempting to steal a moped.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: “At 2.22am on Friday, August 18, police were called to reports of suspicious activity in Warrington.
“The caller reported four men wearing balaclavas in an alleyway off Sandy Lane.

“Officers attended the scene and conducted a search of the area but there was no trace of the men.
“They are believed to have fled the scene on a pushbike travelling towards Winwick Road.
“It is believed that the men were attempting to steal a moped. Enquiries are ongoing.”
