MEMBERS of Lymm Adivas dance troupe travel to Prestatyn on Friday, September 1 to take part in the annual regional championships – the main event of their year.
Successes at competitions throughout the season qualifies them to take part in the end-of-season championships – and the Adivas, who celebrate their 10th anniversary in October, have had a great year.
Organiser Kate Pritchard said: “We are incredibly proud of every single dancer. They have all worked hard to prepare for the championship and I know this is the highlight of the dancing year.
“We are hoping to bring home some trophies and represented Lymm again in the ‘fluffy’ Morris Dancing world that many years ago was popular in Lymm.
“We have 38 dancers taking part this year, aged six to 40-plus. We all have a great weekend as an Adivas family and are really looking forward to having a great time as a team.
“It makes me incredibly proud each competition, watching the dancers and seeing how much they have developed again this season. They all put in so much work at home too, in order to do the best for their team.”
Kate had a special word thanks for her volunteer helpers who make the troupe’s success possible.
