TRAFFIC congestion was being reported around the Latchford area after the swing bridge stuck in the open position again.
It happened after the bridge swung open to allow a large ship to pass.
Heavy traffic congestion was being reported in the area.
It is the latest in a long number of ongoing issues involving the aging swing bridges crossing the Manchester Ship canal at Latchford, Stockton Heath and Walton.
Work had been due to start on the bridge at Stockton Heath in April this year, until a fallout between owners Pell and Warrington Borough Council on road closure costs.
