WARRINGTON Rylands kick off their second season in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division on Saturday welcoming Radcliffe to Gorsey Lane, kick off 3pm.

Having completed a league double last season over their opponents they are under no illusions how difficult a task it will be to start with a win against Radcliffe who appointed new managers at the end of last season.
Manager Michael Clegg said “Radcliffe is a very tough start for us obviously they are one of the favourites to win the league and you can see why with their recruitment. They have some brought in some great players, including Matty Sergeant Scott Duxbury (both played for Rylands last season), and some really good players from higher up the pyramid.”

Clegg has made changes to his squad over the summer with only five players remaining from last season, “The recruitment has been pretty straightforward. We identified targets early and got them through the door earlier so they could settle in as quickly as possible in the games we have learned a little bit about each player about different formations and about different systems and early doors”.
“We identified the type of team we wanted to be this season and have prepared really well throughout the summer and are looking strong but that counts for nothing come 3pm on Saturday.”
