Warrington Town announce squad numbers and kits for new season

WARRINGTON Town revealed their squad numbers for the 2023/24 National League North campaign at the club’s Season Launch night at The Village Hotel.

A sell-out event saw the first team squad presented with their shirts for the new season by their respective player sponsors, while the club also revealed new front of shirt and stadium sponsors.

The new shirt sponsors are RSK, a global sustainability business with headquarters in Helsby, and their logo will be on the front of both home and away shirts, the style of which remains the same from last season.

RSK Sports & Leisure Director Wayne Mumford said that, with its Cheshire base, RSK was sure to have many Warrington Town fans within its ranks and the business looked forward to sending more colleagues to see the team in action.

Wayne said: “We are delighted to partner with Warrington and support their ongoing success. Warrington Town’s ambitious plans are not restricted to goal-scoring success on the pitch but include forging stronger links with the community and local businesses. This is very much aligned with RSK’s own values.

“We know also that the club has an exciting season head, its ascent into the National League North bringing encounters with bigger clubs like Scunthorpe United and Hereford and forging new local rivalries with the likes of Chester and Southport and we look forward to cheering them on.”

The shirts are now ready for pre-order ahead of anticipated delivery expected around the time of the Yellows’ first home game of the season, against Blyth Spartans on August 12.

They kick off a historic first season in the sixth tier of English football away at Southport this Saturday.

Play-off final hero Isaac Buckley-Ricketts will wear the number 19 shirt, with 10 of the starting team from the play-off final claiming numbers within 1-11.

Tony Thompson retains the number one shirt, with returnee Dan Atherton wearing 12.

Vastly experienced new signing Peter Clarke will wear 26.

The club has also confirmed the departure of Tom Warren, who has decided to take time away from football due to work commitments.

Youngsters Paddy Kay and Lewis Sinnott were amongst the players presented on stage at the event, which saw Q&As held with club chairman Toby Macormac and manager Mark Beesley.
