Daresbury Expressway remains closed following collision involving two HGVs and diesel spillage

THE Daresbury Expressway between Runcorn and Warrington remained closed this morning (Tuesday)  following a collision involving two HGVs and a diesel spillage.

Three casualties managed to free themselves from the vehicles following a collision near a roundabout at around 15.24.

Two fire crews and emergency services attended at the scene and a full road closure was put in place.

Firefighters used absorbent mats to soak up oil and diesel that was leaking from the vehicles.
The collision happened on the junction between Pitts Heath Lane and Blackheath Lane.

Daresbury Expressway remains closed this morning from Manor Park to Chester Road.
