Firefighters tackle two fires in the open at Clearwater Quays

UPDATED: FIREFIGHTERS were called twice in less than an hour following reports of fires in the open at Clearwater Quays, Latchford.

The first incident was ar 15:34, today Friday, when one fire crew used a hose reel jet to extinguish a small fire involving leaves and shrubs.

Then at 16.22 a fire crew from Warrington was called out again to reports fire in a woodland area at Clearwater Quays which was extinguished by firefighters using a hose reel jet.

Both fires believed to have been started deliberately.
