Four fire crews rush to rescue person who fell from bridge into water

FOUR fire crews, supported by a rescue boat unit, were called out last night following reports of a person falling from a bridge and into water in the Padgate area of town.

At 23:12 emergency services rushed to the scene off Connaught Avenue, including four fire engines, supported by a rescue boat unit, an aerial ladder platform and a rope rescue unit

It followed reports of a person who had fallen from a bridge and into water.

Crews rescued one person from the water and handed them into the care of paramedics.

Earlier in the day at 11:57 firefighters used one hose reel to put out a small fire in an alleyway at the rear of a property on Dudley Street, Warrington.
