List of road closures for popular Penketh Carnival

A number of road closures will be in place this Saturday (July 8) for the popular Penketh Carnival.

Starting with a parade from Penketh High School at 11.30 involving local community groups, it is followed by a carnival on Greystone Recreation ground which will be packed with stalls and entertainment including a fun fair.

During the parade no cart, carriage, motor car, lorry or other vehicle (excepting vehicles taking part in the event, Police, Ambulance and Fire Service vehicles and Mail Carts) and no horses or other animal be allowed to remain in or travel along or over any of the undermentioned streets:

Between the hours of 10:30am and 12.30pm on Saturday 8th July 2023:
Heath Road
Meeting Lane
Jubilee Avenue
Barnstable Way
Honiton Way
Greystone Road

Bicycles and Tricycles are included in the term “vehicle” and must not be ridden through any of the above streets during the hours specified. Any person willfully acting in contravention of the above order will be liable to a penalty not exceeding £400.
Vehicular access to premises will only be permitted under the guidance of the organisers. Pedestrian and emergency routes will be maintained.
