Three fire crews tackle blaze at disused building

THREE fire crews were called out last night to tackle a blaze at a disused building in Daresbury.

At 20:50, crews from Warrington, Stockton Heath and Runcorn were called to reports of a fire at a property on
Daresbury Lane.

Crews were called to the fire involving a disused outbuilding. Firefighters used two main jets and a hose reel jet to tackle the fire which was well developed on arrival.

No details of the cause have been given.

In another incident at 22:42 one crew was called out to reports of a fire in the open on Grasmere Avenue.
A small amount of wood was on fire and a water backpack was used to put it out.
