THE Educate Awards – the largest education awards in the North West – is urging schools and colleges in Warrington to enter this year.

Now in its 12th year, the contest is open to schools and colleges of all shapes and sizes, including alternative and SEND provisions.
There are 19 categories for schools, academies, and colleges to enter. Each category has entry criteria and looks for the school demonstrating an outstanding commitment in a specific area, including STEM, literacy, performing arts and sports.

The Teacher of the Year award is one of the strongest categories and receives many nominations from colleagues, students and parents. The award recognises a teacher who goes above and beyond their role to ensure student success.

Educate Awards founder Kim O’Brien said: “Each year we see entries from across the North West, but we are eager to hear from schools and colleges in Warrington.
“Our goal is to spread awareness of the awards in Warrington so they can be in with a chance of winning. There are so many fantastic things happening across schools and colleges in this area, and we want to hear about them.
“The awards are about so much more than winning. They are a celebration of education in all its forms. We bring together schools, academies, and colleges across the region to share each other’s success and achievements.”
The annual awards extravaganza will be Liverpool Cathedral on Friday, November 17, for a night of glitz and glam. This year Liverpool legend and long-term Greatest Hits Radio presenter Simon ‘Rossie’ Ross will again be host.
The evening will feature a jam-packed programme with special performances from schools in the region.
Entries for the awards are open now and will close on Sunday, July 23.
