100 new jobs on offer at Warrington care home

EXEMPLAR Health Care, a leading provider of specialist nursing care for adults with complex needs, is now recruiting for its brand-new care home in Warrington, ahead of the home opening its doors this Autumn.

As construction of Woolston House nears completion, the care home is looking for dedicated and compassionate staff to join its new team. Over 100 jobs are available at the new home, with recruitment underway for Registered Nurses, Unit Managers, Occupational Therapist, Health Care Assistants, Senior Health Care Assistants and a range of other support roles. Successful candidates will start work this summer, completing a bespoke induction and training programme ahead of the home’s first resident arriving in the autumn.
To support the new recruitment campaign, Exemplar Health Care’s Team will be hosting a selection day where prospective candidates will undertake the first interview stage in the selection process, as well have the opportunity to find out more about the company and its training and career development programmes directly from the central support teams. The selection day will be hosted at the brand-new home on Long Barn Lane, Woolston, on Monday 3rd July. Individuals wishing to attend should contact Exemplar Health Care at [email protected] at the earliest opportunity so that the initial application can be completed in advance.

Woolston House, situated in Warrington, will provide exceptional care and support for adults living with acquired brain injuries, complex mental health needs, dementia, and physical disabilities. The new home will enable residents to live in the community whilst having their health and wellbeing needs met by a specialist team – without it, they would otherwise need to live permanently in a hospital setting.
The home, which cost £8.2m to develop, will have 40 ensuite bedrooms split across four units. With this small group living model, Exemplar Health Care has found it can provide a far more homely and supportive environment that’s more responsive to people’s care and emotional needs.
The units will feature communal dining and living spaces and sensory bathrooms, residents will also have access to a dedicated Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy treatment room, and a large accessible garden, ensuring residents can enjoy and full and varied lifestyle.

Lindsay Abraham, Commissioning Manager at Woolston House, said: “As we enter the final stages of interior designing Woolston House, we are ready to welcome individuals to join our team who are passionate about making a positive impact to the lives of others, are committed to providing outstanding care, and who share our values of integrity, responsiveness, teamwork, success and fun!
“By joining our team, candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes the holistic wellbeing of the people we will support. New joiners will be supported through a bespoke induction and training programme ahead of the home officially opening, and all colleagues will be encouraged to continue develop their careers through our clear career pathway – with many of Exemplar Health Care’s Unit and Home Managers having started in more junior roles with the organisation.
“This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand new team, work in a state of the art clinical environment, and to make a profound impact to the lives of people in our local community.”
