HUNDREDS of people representing local churches took part in the annual Padgate & Woolston Walking Day.
The event was blssed with sunshine as the local communities celebrated their annual Walk of Witness.
Warrington North MP Charlotte Nichols, who was attending one of seven events on a busy day in her constitunecy said: “We were blessed with gorgeous weather for Padgate and Woolston Walking Day today, and a fantastic turnout from our schools, churches and marching bands, and spectators.
“It was bittersweet not seeing Diana Friend marshalling, as someone who had played such a key role in the event over many years, including as chief marshall, in our first Walking Day since her passing but I’m sure she was smiling down on us all today!
“Thank you to everyone who took part in making the day such a success.”
