THREE fire crews were called out to tackle a house fire on Edgewater Park, Warrington, on Thursday afternoon.

At 15:25 crews from Warrington, Birchwood and Penketh attended reports of a fire at a domestic property on Steers Close, Edgewater Park.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet and two covering jets to tackle the fire. Everybody was out of the building upon arrival of the fire crews.
Police were also in attendance and set up a cordon for safety.

The fire involved a single storey extension and a large fan was used to ventilate the area. The property was checked for further fire that may have spread.
