Road partially closed following collision at Stretton

POLICE partially closed Tarporley Road at Stretton, Warrington following a road traffic collision.

The collision took place on Tarporley Road just off the M56 roundabout on Thursday afternoon.

One lane was closed while police waited for a recovery vehicle and for highways to place sand on the road.
No other details are available at this stage.

Traffic was heavy in the area following a road traffic collision on the M56.

Traffic was stopped at around 4pm , on M56 eastbound from junction 14, Helsby, to junction 12, Runcorn, with queues stretching back to Daresbury with delays of around 40 minutes.
At one point there were six-miles of queues.
