Police praise for young RAF Air Cadets involved in church grounds clean up

WARRINGTON Police have praised young RAF Air Cadets who were involved in a church clean-up operation at the weekend.

The youngsters from 1330 (Warrington) Sqn RAF Air Cadets attended at Christ Church, Padgate on Saturday to help with the cleaning and tidying of the Commonwealth War Graves on service personnel, while also carrying out general maintenance of the church grounds.

Often reporting on anti-social behaviour involving young people, police wanted to highlight the positive contributions of young people int he town.

Sharing the information on social media, Warrington Police posted: “We often receive calls regarding young people being involved in anti social behaviour within the communities, so we would like to show you there is also young people out there who are not involved in ASB and make a positive contribution to our town.
“Pictured are a group of cadets from 1330 (Warrington) Sqn RAF Air Cadets, on Saturday 27th May they attended Christ Church in Padgate to help with cleaning and tidying of the Commonwealth war graves of fallen service personnel, and general maintenance of the church grounds.

“It is fantastic to see the cadets gave up their free time working extremely hard in the warm weather to make a big difference to the local community.
