THE first-ever Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) took to the streets of Warrington today (Sunday) raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.
Originating in Australia The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was blessed with sunshine as riders, dressed in their finest suits and ties, met at local motorcycle dealer, In2moto.
They then rode through the town centre, stopping for a photo call at the Golden Gates, before heading out of town and through a combination of villages and towns, eventually arriving at Jodrell Bank’s visitors centre a few hours later.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) unites classic and vintage-styled motorcycle riders from all over the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.
It was founded in Sydney, Australia. Over the past 11 years, it has grown to become an annual worldwide fundraising event, bringing dapper-dressed motorcycle enthusiasts and riders in cities all across the globe together on Sunday 21st May.
Thanks to the generosity of local riders and supporters, the Warrington ride has raised of £5,000.
