Rylands learn identity of new opponents as Sunday team pick up silverware

FOLLOWING the release by the Football Association of their league allocations for season 2023/24 Warrington Rylands know the identities of their five new opponents next season whilst renewing acquaintances with an old foe.

New faces amongst their NPL Premier Division opponents next season will be Macclesfield and Worksop Town promoted as champions of their respective NPL First Division, while Bradford Park Avenue have been relegated from the National League North and Basford United and Ilkeston Town have moved laterally into the Division from the Southern League Premier Central Division.

The sixth team stepping up to the NPL Premier Division for 2023/24 is Workington who Rylands piped for the NPL West title by a point on a dramatic final day to the 2021/22 season.

Meanwhile the Rylands FC Sunday team won South Lancs Counties League Presidents Cup on Sunday beating Clay Brow 7-6 on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw at Daisy Hill FC.
