Appeal for witnesses after man in white car exposed himself to 14-year-old girl

POLICE are appealing for information from members of the public after a man in a white car exposed himself to 14-year-old girl in Appleton Thorn, Warrington.

At around 4.15pm on Friday 12 May, the 14-year-old girl was walking down Arley Road when a white car pulled up ahead of her. An unknown man then exited the vehicle and exposed himself to the girl.

The suspect is described as a white man aged mid 30s to early 40s of slim build, with short dark brown hair and a clean-shaven face. He was wearing navy jeans, a white top and a grey hoodie.
The white car is believed to be a Seat.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area at the time the incident took place.

PC Ann Muldowney, Beat Manager for Appleton, said: “I understand that this is very concerning behaviour and I want to assure the local community that we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible.
“As part of our ongoing enquiries, we are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw something that didn’t look right to contact us.
“The same goes for anyone who thinks they may know the offender or has any dashcam or CCTV footage from around the area at the time of the incident.”
